Brownies:)

This is such a good recipe for chocolate brownies, they are such a nice snack to take into school, or to devour when your sad. The recipe is off food.com which has thousands of delicious meals and treats, and also they only take between 30/40 mins to make, making them perfect! Enjoy….

Just a heads up to the fact that the measurements are American, but the converstions can be found on websites like yahoo answers or actual cooking sites.

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 eggs
  • 3/4 cup plain flour (all-purpose flour if you American)
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda (only if you don’t want the  crunchy crust, personally I don’t use this)
  • 1 cup chocolate
  • 1/2 a cup of melted butter
  • 1 1/2 cups of granulated sugar

    Directions:

    1
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit or 175 degrees Celsius.
    2
Melt the butter and lightly grease a pan of your liking (I used an 8×8 because I like a thicker brownie).
    3
In a large bowl; combine the flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking soda.
    4
In another large bowl; combine the sugar, melted butter, and vanilla extract.
    5
Once combined beat in the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each until thoroughly blended.
    6
Gradually add in the flour mixture to the egg/sugar mixture.
    7
Toss the chocolate chips in a little flour. (The flour will keep them from sinking to the bottom of the pan.).
    8
Mix the chocolate chips into the batter.
    9
Bake for 20-25 minutes. (The brownies are done if you stick a toothpick in the middle and it comes out clean.
    10
(ALSO, THE BATTER IS GOING TO RISE. PLEASE, DO NOT BE ALARMED! ONCE IT SINKS, WHICH TAKES ALL OF 10 MINUTES, I CAN ASSURE YOU THEY MIGHT BE THE BEST BROWNIES YOU’VE EVER TASTED.).

Please remember this is not my recipe and is copied from food.com, and I am by no way trying to get credit for it, enjoy this tasty snacks.

much love xx

More about me

So I though you should know more about me…

I am at secondary school and next year will be taking my GCSE’s and I choose them this year, my favourite subjects are English, P.E, Art and geography (all very different I know). I like lots of different music some of my favourite artists are Ed sheeran, Taylor swift and Bruno mars (but not all of his songs) and my favourite songs: Taylor swift-Wonderland/Blank space, Pop DanThology 2014 and Ed Sheeran-Nina/even my dad does sometimes, but knowing me these favourite songs will most likely have changed come next week.My most hated TV show is The X Factor and my favourite is I’m a celebrity!

My most inspiring people are Nadia Comaneci as I really love gymnastics and she was the first person in Olympic history to score perfect 10 on bars, beam, floor and vault, Zoe Sugg (known as Zoella online) as she has worked so hard in her career, over come so many fears and on the way has got to do so many cool things, She’s such a great example of ‘you have to face your fears to overcome them’ and last but not least Jessica Ennis she is a British heptathlon Olympic gold medallist, she works extremely hard and has such an incredible attitude to her sports and she is now known in England as Golden Girl!

When I’m older I want to be a journalist and I aim to work really hard to be that. I don’t actually mind school and I also don’t mind learning (to be honest I really enjoy school but shhhh). I am incredibly scared of dying, not when I’m older but dying now like being hit by a car or kidnapped or murdered or to die in a fire or car crash, that thought really gets to be and I have countless sleepless nights thinking about the subject. I don’t know if that’s normal or if any of you feel the same?

I am the oldest sibling and I hate being the first to do everything, I have to teach my self how to put makeup on I have to struggle and learn with boys! I have no older sister to guide me. Plus I only have 1 sister, I would love to have more siblings because the house would always be noisy and there wouldn’t be so much attention on me (I hate attention!) Literally I don’t think there’s anything in the world which I hate more except beetroot.

And lastly…… I want to talk about 2nd-15th march 2014, the best, most inspiring and educating few days of my life! During this small time frame last year 2 Ugandan girls came to stay with me in my house, we shared a room together they taught me some Lugandan (their language) they showed me songs they listen to in Uganda and we spent long nights dancing to songs; probably a bit young for my age but they just loved it and honestly so did I! They taught me how they survive without much food and water, education and things like phones and the internet. How their whole community has special songs and dances. A whole group of them came to say at different girls houses in my school. We even got to miss school a few days and take them to London, swimming, bowling, pottery painting, and we even given a rugby stadium to have a tournament with lots of other children from round the world. The organisation is called Touraid and it brings together children from deprived areas all across the world through Rugby. Their names were Racheal and Patience and they are 1 of my 2 favourite people in the entire world.

I don’t even know if anyone will read this or even my blog, but I am really enjoying writing it and seeing where this little journey will take me:)

much love xx
